Cambodia - streets

It was raining most of the time when we were in Cambodia. Here are some photos of the heavy rain and the aftermath. Even the trishaw man had to take shelter. The streets in front and side of the hotel flooded. Here is Abbie attempting/dancing across the flooded street.

Here are some photos of delicacies one sees in the streets of Cambodian cities. Here are frogs done in one way: And here are more frogs done in another way.

Here are some bugs, god knows what they were. I sure wasn't going to get too near to have a closer look! :

This looks like a tray of gourmet cockroaches.

Some crunchy beetles (may be a bit soft on the inside though):

This lot may be locusts:

Sneaks of different spices:

And finally, here is one of the Gourmet stores itself: Now, dinner anyone?

Up-stairs, down-stairs, even for dogs. Photo taken during the boat trip from Battambang to Siem Reap. Some sections of the river is chocked with hyacinth Here is the a lady with the vege Morning Glory (known as Kang Kong in Malaysia) freshly picked for the market.

Next post ... something serious .... a dark chapter in Cambodian history ... S-21 and Killing Fields.
